Welcome to our Boutique Winery. La Terrazza Wine is grown, produced, bottled and loved all at the one single location in the heart of Central Victoria.

Like a rustic trattoria you'd find in Tuscany, this winery produces authentic wine in a sun-drenched environment, ensconced among fields of vines. Lodged just north of Bendigo, La Terrazza Vineyard is a glistening gem in the rural Victorian sun.

The brainchild (formerly "La Terrazza Vineyard and Restaurant") was developed after 15 years of nurturing a vineyard/winery on the deep red loams of the Bendigo Creek alluvial flats. On Gungurru Road.. The attractive setting features mature red gums and an annual creek line of more red gums in the distance. La Terrazza is a vineyard set in Huntly, a rural suburb 15 minutes north of Bendigo. The Italian owners come from along line of wine-makers in Italy and they bring their European passions and traditions to their Australian wine and food.

The Vineyard began from the heart and soul of Alvaro Mazzarino. A seed being planted, but interestingly enough, vineyards aren't planted from seeds. This particular seed was planted in a young man taking arriving from Italy to Australia with a dream to enjoy the countryside over 30 years ago. Alvaro, at the age of 27 immigrated from the hustle and bustle of the Eternal City Rome. His dream was to have a ranch. As the days of being a cowboy grew less, along came his hobby of vines. At 48 years of age Alvaro planted, watered, cultured and loved every single vine that he planted by hand.

Alvaro had the right site, the right climate, the right opportunity, and the right time of life. Years went by. The family grew up. Now his eldest daughter Cristina has come on board. With the wise and the young becomes the new and improved La Terrazza Wine.
